Petra,an ancient trading hub for caravans from Arabia to Rome

Petra was once a city known for it’s prominence and was known throughout the mediterranean to be breathtaking. The city is made of red sandstone cliffs, giving this beautiful image a sort of red, orange, brown hue.

There’s something¬†poignant¬†about the bedouin man standing in the shadow with his camel. The human presence sometimes adds more richness to a photograph than any other element. But the beauty of the natural world untouched is also a wonderful thing as well.

What makes this picture of Petra striking is, it wants to talk to us. The colors or red, orange, and brown glow within the surfaces unearthing a history of stories. It whats to be told. Something is there.
