Mount Vesuvius eruption

In the first century Pompeii was one of only so many cities around Mount Vesuvius. It was a prosperous city and flourishing agriculture region,Of the other towns it was largest.Pompeii’s neighboring community and town was Herculaneum, which was burned and the skeletons of inhabitants only remain.

Pliny the younger wrote a firsthand account of the Vesuvius eruption,in which he lost his uncle. It was said to be especially traumatic for him. This account remains to date the most detailed of all writings.

It is believed universally that the eruption was August 24 79 A.D. Yet controversy lingers as plaster moulds appear to be of people wearing winter clothes, while preserved plants show pumpkins and other October fruits and vegetables, summer plants were being sold and sun dried.Such archeological evidence would point to spring.

Today Pompeii attracts over 2 million visitors a year and is most visited in Italy, being also declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 2007. To combat tourist pollution, other town sites like Herculaneum are now available.

The Airbus

In 1970 the airline industry reached it’s highest point in it’s history,at that time they had just come out with the Airbus A-300. Meanwhile an England based company designed the Concord jet. They were both equal in appeal, being that the  Airbus could hold thousands of passengers, while the Concord jet could hold under 500. However, the Concord traveled fast, faster thanthe earth rotates in fact, breaking the sound barrier.

The Airbus, while larger and cheaper faced a challenge from Concord jets.
The Concord, though going faster than the earth rotates, had lighter payload and a heavy price tag

By the end of the 1970’s decade people found it cheaper to fly the Airbus than to fly the Concord jet which had it’s price topped out at 10,000 i believe( Feel free to comment a correction.)But after a certain time Airbus was cheaper and thriving, while Concord jets lost it’s money to pay for the expensive things and filed for bankruptcy.

The Airbus A-300 has hundreds or thousands in the business. The creation and use of concord jets has long ago ceased in the airline industry.

Ross Bridge,Australia

I’m actually hoping for some way to make this bigger, It would be nice. Purple  is quite beautiful, certain kinds of colors can evoke different moods. It is known to be adopted as a symbol of royalty. However, sometimes no words actually need to be said.

The Whirling Dervish

A Whirling Dervish

A Whirling Dervish,Istanbul

About this photo.I  like how it gives off a red glow with a dark aura around it,like red but with a brown mahogany hue. One thing a viewer can note is that the Dervish is the focus, everything around him is drawn to him in the center.

The Purple Lightning

lightning streaking across a purple night sky

The lightning really serves to iiluminate the sky, giving everything a radiant glow,it really looks as if the whole thing was taken on a purple lens camera. This wonderful thing has multiple shades of purple.

A twilight sky just off the Georgia State coastline really serves to reflect off the ground, trees and plants. That’s really all i have to say for this post, now please feel free to comment on this or another post of mine.
